I have been waiting for a new product from Gaelle Organic for over a year and it's finally here! Why the anticipation? Well, this brand was one of the first organic lines I tried that simply blew me away. There's nothing overly complicated about the brand, it's got solid ingredients, a luxurious feel and was founded on the intention of aging gracefully, but the products, they are just divine without being overworked.

But the next product - they must have known. We all know that I am a die hard dry oil cleansing fan, so whenever a new cleanser comes my way, it's like a holiday in itself. I didn't even care what time it was, I ran into the bathroom to clean my face, that's how excited I was.

Balm Superieure, well it' just sounds fancy, and it feels fancy, yet it's elegant and simple. It's a blend of some of the finest oils  you can find: safflower, sunflower, sesame, jojoba, grape, olive, grapefruit, lemon, sandalwood, clary sage, rosemary and rose geranium. I can look at that list and already tell you that there are some super effective cleansers, some toning agents, definite hydrators and antiaging wonders - all in all it's going to cleanse deep down and remove anything unsightly and restore the balance, radiance and softness of the skin - it even conditions the lashes.

My take? It was a bit thinner in texture than the product I was currently using, which I really liked. It didn't feel heavy or greasy, but was really pleasant to apply and work in. There's really no one ingredient that takes over in the scent department, which is also really nice, they just meld togther in a slightly fragrant harmony. Performance-wise, it definitely tackled all of my makeup, even the eyes, and left my skin with a really light, bright feeling.

I think this would be an excellent choice for someone venturing into oil cleansing, as it's not too heavy or too fragrant, but it also cleanses beautifully. I'm thrilled about this addition to their line and think it compliments the other products by not being too heavy handed, letting their creams and serums do the wonder work.

If you missed my first review of their line, you can catch it here. It's a fascinating article about some colostrum based items. See, now you want to read, don't you? Don't mind my Blackberry era photos.
