Babo Botanicals Favorites: NEW Moisturizing Line

You know I love a good baby line - one that's safe, has quality ingredients, works well and smells great - but when it translates to something I can use, and consequently really love, well I'm just thrilled because thats less products we need as a whole. I'd used Babo Botanicals for our son when he was first born, so I knew that I trusted the products, but when I realized that their #notjustforbabies campaign was targeting the entire family, I wanted to try a different line and see what it was all about.

Their NEW Moisturizing Line (or yellow if we're going by color) has an Oatmilk base and then each item is formulated from there. Each item also contains Babo's exclusive Organic NutriSoothe Blend which is rich in vitamins, antioxidants, Chamomile, Watercress, Kudzu and Calendula. So in short, super nourishing and moisturizing. Let me get to my favorites!

Moisturizing Baby Shampoo & Wash

This stuff! You see, I have long, fine hair and we have really hard water, so it's often left dry on the ends. Then if I use a moisturizing shampoo or conditioner, I look like a wet dog - but not with this! Somehow the extra gentle plant-based cleansers are enough to clean effectively and leave some buoyancy, yet nourish my hair scalp to end. It also does the same for your skin and your babies skin. I felt it really helped with those rough patches on my upper arms and back. Calendula Oil is also great for scalp treatment and cradle cap for those of you with itty-bitty ones. Oh, and the smell is DIVINE. I spent a good 5 minutes just smelling the bottle when it arrived, which I didn't feel bad about because this item is rated a 1 on the EWG Skin Deep scale.

Again with the fine hair thing, conditioners never really work for me, but I liked this one. It's a clean scent with a moderate consistency that I found worked best concentrated on my ends. You could take it all the way up to the scalp, because the Calendula is really soothing, but for my hair type it was a little hard to then get some volume out of it, and I feel the shampoo adds enough hydration to my roots. I do love that this has added Organic Coconut Oil because it leaves your hair super soft and shiny and my ends mended.

You need this in your life. Whipped to perfection, light and absorbent this cream really is a miracle. For the amount of hydration it imparts on the skin, you usually have to use a really heavy cream for a few days to see results. This cream is extra gentle (for any skin type), soothing and will heal any dry patches or irritated skin on first use. I love, love slathering this on before bed and waking up with the softest skin ever. I think it's worth mentioning that the scent is derived from natural oils and can be a bit strong. I adore Bergamot and Cedarwood, but I feel if it wasn't your cup of tea, it might be overpowering.

This line also has a coordinating Sunscreen that I'm excited to try next, because I cannot stand the either really dry or really greasy feeling some natural sunscreens leave behind and from what I've seen out of the other items, I feel it would be moisturizing yet gentle. I'll let you know on that. There's also a Diaper Cream, Lotion and Bubble Bath - along with a newborn gift set that would be a great present and travel size items, which cuts down on packing since it's fit for the whole family.
